October’s meeting

Standard

Hello everyone!

To no one’s surprise, Andrea  delivered a beautiful book-club spread, full of bloody mary’s, mimosas, and breakfast treats! So sorry for those of you who missed it, but you were there in spirit! While discussing the most recent book “All the Missing Girls”, it seemed that it had mixed reviews. The group consensus was that it was a little hard to follow, since it was written in reverse, but I felt like it incited more discussion amongst the group, when compared to some of the other books we have read. I personally really enjoyed the story and liked how the last few “days” were fast paced and tied everything together. Overall, we all agreed that the book contained a few “didn’t see that coming” moments.

I also started to think back to all the stories we have read and was wondering what everyone’s favorites have been? Mine is still The Truth About the Harry Quebert Affair. Kristen’s was Liane Moriarty’s Big Little Lies….which leads us to our next pic!

The next book will Liane Moriarty’s “Truly Madly Guilty” and the meeting will be for us girls only, (sorry babies and boys, you’ll have to plan a football club or something !!;)  at Earth Cafe in Laguna Beach. On November 13th, at 11:00 am. Hope to see everyone there!
